On the 24th of June, Brussels will play host to the SocialErasmus Conference "The Social Dimension for Erasmus+: Integration through Volunteering", an event by the Erasmus Student Network, focusing on the added value of volunteering as a part of the Erasmus+ experience.
Taking the ESN project - SocialErasmus - as a reference, this event will provide a space where it will be possible to learn, exchange ideas and come up with concrete conclusions on what organisations involved with Erasmus+ programme can do to involve young citizens during their mobility experience through volunteering activities that take social action, fostering change in the society. The conference aims to highlight the importance of the Erasmus+ programme not only for its participants but also to the local communities and societies. Local communities, and the society in general, will be then able to see that Erasmus+ also have a citizenship character and it is very important to shape a better future to everyone.
Funded by the social grant of the Erasmus+ Student and Alumni Association (ESAA), this conference will take place between 10:00 and 14:00 and it will be hosted by the Erasmus+ Unit of the Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC).
