"Escape to Vama Veche" is the National Event of ESN Romania that takes place at the seaside every year in May. The event includes activities such as colour battles, a flag parade, sport competitions and trips to Constanta, Romania, the Botanical Garden and Balchik Palace in Bulgaria. National event also includes a volunteering activity, in collaboration with “Let’s do it Romania”, with the purpose of cleaning the beach. In total, the event gathers around 400 participants, out of which around 65 were volunteers.

SocialErasmus: Let’s do it, world!, took place on the last day of the event, Sunday 30th of April, allowing the students to clean after all the other activities were almost over.

One of their goals was to gather the Erasmus students and volunteers in one place in order to prove again that unity in diversity is the main strategy of Erasmus Student Network. Apart from this, they also wanted to prove how important role we all have over the well-being of the environment.

The event couldn’t have gone so well without the help from Let's Do It, Romania! They have provided the organisational committee with garbage bags and gloves and also helped them contacting the company that come and picked up the garbage from the beach.

The participants saw the relevance of it in the fact that during the entire event they’ve had different activities on the beach and the SocialErasmus event allowed them to clean all the things left behind.
